Senior Director. Infrastructure & Overlay - LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games

Job Overview The Head of Production, Infrastructure and Overlay leads design and deployment of overlay installations for the LA28 Olympics and Paralympics Hospitality Program. This role coordinates with internal and external design teams, venue owners, and production agencies to deliver temporary structures, utilities, and infrastructure required for the Games. Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and execute a master, site, technical & production plan in conjunction with production agencies, overlay suppliers, and LA28. Directly manage key members of the Infrastructure team and third‑party production agencies. Oversee overall production coordination, logistics, vendor management, budget, and scheduling for: tenting, structures, power, utilities, rigging, staging, heavy equipment, court protection, fencing, audio/visual, restrooms, fit‑out, decor, technical labor, venue infrastructure. Maintain vendor agreements, including change order policy. Handle permitting, engineering & ADA compliance, drawings, and engineering reviews. Conduct production meetings, supervise on‑site staff and vendors, and train staff. Pre‑event tasks: vendor selection, negotiation, contract and invoice review, define RFP bid specifications, answer vendor questions, create master site and technical installation/operation/removal timelines. Post‑event tasks: review and approve final invoices, provide post‑event evaluation notes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, event management, hospitality or a related field (advanced degree preferred). Minimum 15 years of experience managing large‑scale multinational events with a focus on operational excellence and stakeholder management. Strong leadership, team‑building, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience creating and implementing a centralized business function within a sport organization and/or large‑scale corporation.
