Project Manager

Rutgers University is hiring a Project Manager for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). The role requires coordinating and managing medium to large-scale capital construction projects from planning through construction, occupancy, and close‑out, while balancing university goals with end user expectations. Highlights Manages all activities related to capital projects including planning, budgeting, contract preparation, project meetings, and construction oversight. Coordinates end user requirements, professional consultants, construction administration, and occupancy processes. Represents the department for ongoing capital projects, including new construction and renovations. Reviews project proposals for accuracy, completeness, and constructability. Leads and manages the Project Team throughout the project lifecycle. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management and at least seven years' project management experience as an owner's representative. Experience with healthcare, research, or higher education construction projects is mandatory. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; knowledge of contract documentation and project development processes. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between campuses in New Jersey required.
