Senior Process Engineer

Our client, a global leader in biofuel, ethanol, and biochemical process technology is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead process design, equipment sizing, simulation, commissioning, and startup activities for innovative greenfield and brownfield projects.

Salary Range: $110,000–$135,000 annually. Compensation is negotiable and commensurate with experience, technical expertise, industry background, and overall qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop process simulations, PFDs, and P&IDs
Perform heat & material balances and hydraulic calculations
Size and specify pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, tanks, valves, and instrumentation
Create equipment specifications and support 3D model reviews
Design process control strategies and provide startup/commissioning support
Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
10+ years of process engineering experience in biofuels, biochemicals, ethanol, biodiesel, SAF, biogas, chemical processing, or oil & gas
Expertise with Aspen, HYSYS, CHEMCAD, PRO/II, or similar process simulation software
Solid knowledge of API, ASME, ASTM, OSHA, NFPA, and process safety principles
Experience with heat exchanger design, hydraulic calculations, instrumentation, and control valve sizing
PE license preferred
