Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current credential as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
• Minimum EIPA score of 3.5; completion of the written EIPA portion required
• Experience interpreting in educational environments preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt and respond to varying student and classroom needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and effective sign language interpretation between students, staff, and educators
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to support individualized student needs
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpreting
• Assist with fostering an inclusive environment that enables student participation in all aspects of school life
• Participate in meetings and professional development as needed
