The Genemod platform enables life scientists to collaborate and streamline day-to-day operations in the research lab, making pre-clinical research efficient and reproducible.As a software engineer, you will work closely with the leadership team to build the Genemod platform. You should have experience working with web frameworks and libraries such as React, Django, and/or Node.js.The engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining the Genemod platform. The platform is built with React (a JavaScript library) for frontend and Django (a Python framework) for backend. There is a huge opportunity to improve the platform through UX research, data analysis, and big data.Responsibilities:Our frontend web experiences are a key part of our business, and we’re looking for engineers that have deep expertise in building world-class web apps and care deeply about UI/UXMake important architectural decisions that will help shape and scale our platform as our company growsWe value a healthy and productive culture. You'll partner with the leadership team to translate technology capabilities into strategic business decisionsWhat we're looking for:3+ years of software engineering experience working with full-stack applicationsMultiple years of experience with modern frontend frameworks and libraries such as React, Vue.js and Angular JSMultiple years of experience with backend technologies such as Django, Flask, and Node.jsFamiliarity with database technology such as SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDBApplied experience with development of RESTful APIsFamiliarity with Redis, nginx, TypeScript, Redux, Webpack, Docker, Kubernetes, Web Socket, and AWS servicesExperience working with data scientists or working on AI/ML pipelines is a plusHave completed an academic degree in CS, CSE, or equivalentAble to implement Web User Interface from requirements and conceptual designsAble to recognize and implement reusable code and libraries for future use and sharing across multiple applicationsKnowledge of professional software engineering practices for full software development life cycle including coding standard, build processes, testing, and version controlExperience with writing and executing unit testsExperience with agile development methodologiesAbout GenemodGenemod’s vision is to maximize productivity in bench research and drive the next generation of medicines.
