About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience Must be comfortable circulating all vascular cases, including hybrid cases License: Permanent nursing license required Certifications: ACLS BLS PALS (preferred) RNFA (preferred) CNOR (preferred) Must-Have: Proficient in all open-heart cases, valves, bypass, etc. Comfortable with setting up all lines and drips needed by anesthesia Description: Nurses will be required to circulate open-heart surgeries and vascular cases. When not working in CVOR, nurses will assist in other cases. Nurses need to be familiar with all aspects of cardiovascular procedures including setting up anesthesia lines. Shifts will consist of four 10-hour days with rotating weekday night and weekend call. On-call responsibilities will include weekends, with one day of call during the week and every fourth or fifth weekend. CVOR nurses will provide backup support for general nurses on call and vice versa. Experience with charting systems is required. Prior experience in charge roles is preferred. Preferred experience includes community hospital, LTAC, and trauma care. Daily census is approximately 45 patients with 18 operating rooms. All patient age groups are included from neonates to geriatrics. Compliance with required vaccinations is mandatory, with exemptions considered for medical or religious reasons. RTO will be limited during holiday rotation, requiring work every other weekend.
