Description American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility, requiring RDCS/RCS certification and experience with advanced cardiac pathology including contrast, bubble studies, and post-TAVR/Mitraclip assessments. Details Acute care Echocardiography department within a Level 1 trauma facility 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM Uses EPIC EMR Performs contrast studies, bubble studies, strain imaging, 3D imaging, and stress tests Evaluates complex pathology including post-TAVR and post-Mitraclip patients No float requirements to other departments Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience required BLS certification required RDCS or RCS certification required License required if applicable Experience with complicated cardiac pathology and advanced assessments required Strong scanning skills and in-depth knowledge of heart anatomy and pathology required Experience with contrast, bubble studies, strain imaging, and advanced pathology required 3D imaging experience preferred IV insertion skills not required but training may be provided Additional Information Work alongside a highly experienced cardiac sonography team with high standards for quality and efficiency Department educator occasionally takes patient assignments and performs procedures Orientation typically takes only a few days working alongside a preceptor No specific scrub color required, solid colors preferred, scrubs not provided Facility is a Drug-Free Campus requiring a negative drug screen across all panels Local candidates accepted No radius rule, though clinicians within 50 miles are eligible for a local rate Pay Overview $3,046/wk Assignment Total (13 Weeks) $39,598 Annual Equivalent (52 Weeks) $158,392 Weekly Breakdown Weekly Wages $1,800/wk Regular Hours $45.00 x 40 hours/wk = $1,800 Weekly Stipends $1,246/wk Lodging $110.00 x 7 days = $770 Meals & Incidentals $68.00 x 7 days = $476 In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,741 - $3,046.
