Travel RN – Acute Team / ER Float (Discreet Location)
Contract Details
- Location: Near Smith Center, KS (Critical Access Hospital)
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (3x12s)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Role & Clinical Scope
- Practice Model: Functions as an Acute Team RN providing inpatient care while floating dynamically to the Emergency Room whenever ER coverage or surge support is required.
- Versatility Needed: Must be able to seamlessly pivot between general acute medical care and emergency triage/resuscitation in a rural hospital setting.
Requirements & Licensure
- Licensure: Active Kansas (KS) or multi-state Compact RN license required.
- Certifications: Full ER suite (AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC).
CRITICAL Experience & Certification Requirements
- Work History Stability (Strict): Candidate must meet one of the following experience benchmarks:
- Minimum 2 years of staff experience at a single facility OR
- Minimum 3 years of consistent travel experience if they have been a career traveler.
- ER Certifications Required: Must be fully certified across all standard ER credentials at submission:
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- AHA PALS (or ENPC)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Leadership Background: Prior Charge Nurse experience is strongly preferred / ideal.
