Sr. Applications Developer, ERP (Infor Syteline)

Salary: $67,000 - 107,000 per year Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in application development, ERP support, database development, systems analysis, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience developing and supporting Infor SyteLine 9 or 10 in a production environment.
• Advanced Microsoft SQL Server and SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, views, stored procedures, functions, transactions, and error handling.
• Experience diagnosing SQL performance and execution-plan issues, blocking, deadlocks, and data-integrity problems.
• Background supporting ERP integrations, customizations, reporting, background processing, and production environments.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing and distribution operations and their supporting ERP data.
• Experience with development lifecycle practices, source control, testing, technical documentation, and change management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage priorities independently and collaborate with technical and business teams.
• Preferred: Experience with SyteLine IDOs, Mongoose forms, Application Event System, TaskMan, and SSRS.
• Preferred: Experience with EDI, APIs, middleware, ETL/ELT, and enterprise integrations.
• Preferred: Familiarity with SQL development and monitoring tools such as Redgate SQL Monitor or SQL Toolbelt.
• Preferred: Knowledge of SQL Server administration, including indexing, security, backup and recovery, and database maintenance.
• Preferred: Experience in multi-site manufacturing environments and collaboration with SyteLine implementation partners.
• Preferred: Experience with Infor LN, ERP data migration, or hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.

• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, functions, and controlled data scripts.
• Turn business and functional needs into secure, maintainable application and database solutions.
• Investigate SQL errors, inconsistent data, blocking, deadlocks, slow-running processes, and performance concerns; analyze query behavior and implement improvements.
• Create validation queries, transaction controls, error handling, logging, and rollback procedures for data changes.
• Participate in peer reviews and maintain source-controlled documentation for SQL and application updates.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SyteLine 9 customizations, reports, interfaces, background tasks, and related database objects.
• Support SyteLine forms, IDOs, Application Event System, TaskMan, stored procedures, and other extension points.
• Diagnose issues across user interfaces, business logic, integrations, background processing, and SQL Server.
• Support ERP processes spanning manufacturing, planning, inventory, order management, shipping, purchasing, finance, and customer service.
• Coordinate with internal teams and third-party implementation partners on enhancements, upgrades, defects, and new functionality.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend ways to improve application stability, performance, and supportability.
• Assist with source-system analysis, field mapping, data extracts, transformations, reconciliations, and data-quality investigations.
• Apply SyteLine data-model knowledge to integrations, reporting, analytics, and migration work.
• Collaborate on database design, indexing, security, performance tuning, deployment planning, maintenance, and recovery considerations.
• Support data conversion, migration, and validation as we transition from SyteLine to Infor LN.
• Work with business users to understand workflows, operational challenges, priorities, and desired outcomes.
• Provide timely application support and communicate clearly during incidents and system issues.
• Explain technical findings in practical terms for business users and technical colleagues.
• Create and maintain solution documentation, support procedures, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.
• Train users and support teams on functionality, system changes, and best practices.
• Follow established requirements, design, development, review, testing, user acceptance, deployment, validation, and rollback practices.
• Build and test changes in appropriate non-production environments before production release.
• Prepare change documentation covering business justification, test evidence, implementation steps, risks, validation criteria, and rollback procedures.
• Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes and investigate root causes of recurring or high-impact issues.

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer, Core Applications (Infor) to help support and enhance a business-critical ERP environment used for manufacturing and distribution operations. This onsite role may be based in Nashville, Tennessee; Bowling Green, Kentucky; New Braunfels or El Paso, Texas; Opelika, Alabama; or Phoenix, Arizona. The position focuses on Infor SyteLine 9 and Microsoft SQL Server, combining application development, technical analysis, SQL development, and production support. You will work with business stakeholders, application teams, Data Engineering, and Database Administration to deliver scalable solutions while helping maintain the current environment and support our transition from SyteLine to Infor LN.
