Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Medical/Telemetry unit in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care telemetry experience and active KS or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week travel assignment
• 9th floor Medical/Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• 29-bed unit staffed with 5 RNs and 3 Patient Care Techs per shift
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Common procedures include central line management and medication drips
• Equipment includes PCA pumps and IV pumps
• EMR: Meditech (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital telemetry experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Meditech EMR experience is preferred
• Ideal candidates are positive, independent, and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
