Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist is directly supervised by and evaluated by the Special Education Director. Upon referral, assesses students in group settings and as individuals to determine physical therapy needs. Following assessment, develops therapy plans that includes goals and objectives. Keeps records and documentation of individual therapy sessions. Follows report writing procedures for evaluations and progress reports for a long and short-term clients. Works with other school personnel and Physical Therapists in developing preventative programs. Works with community agencies that provide services to students, provides in service trainings to staff and conducts parent education workshops. Functions as a member of multidisciplinary evaluations teams as appropriate. Education: Masters Degree and Arizona Physical Therapist License are required. The ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is preferred.
