Job TitlePort Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA) is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team! This position will be responsible for supporting PCCA staff and provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining systems hardware/software and related infrastructure.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSResolves Level 1/Level 2 incidents and fulfills service requests (phone, e-mail, walk-up, self-service portal) for all end users in accordance with service level targets while demonstrating the highest level of customer serviceEscalates incidents to the appropriate IT operations resources in accordance with established proceduresSupports and maintains Active Directory account management through the onboarding & offboarding employee lifecyclesSupports, modifies, and troubleshoots Group Policy ObjectsAssigns permissions to file shares and objects within Active DirectoryMaintains all end-user computing equipment, such as desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripherals in accordance with IT operations policy and proceduresProvides guidance and work leadership to staff membersPro-actively troubleshoots potential problems and resolvesMaintains document repository of fixes, installation procedures, technical tips, and other office technology processesTrains end-users on the use of systems as it pertains to their jobInstalls new software releases and installs new hardware when upgrades are requiredDocuments best practices and technical documentationIdentifies methods, solutions, and project leadership to provide a high level of service to customersTracks and maintains IT assets (logical and physical) in accordance with IT operations policies and proceduresPerforms related duties as assignedDrives vehicle as necessary to complete assigned tasks and works required hours/shifts necessary to fulfill facility objectivesCPR certified or the ability to become CPR certified within the first year of employmentTier 2 status designationCANDIDATE PROFILEThe preferred candidate for this position should be an organized, thorough, and disciplined individual with a focus on maintaining optimal integrity in support of the PCCA. They must possess the following:EDUCATION & CREDENTIALSHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum two years formal education from an accredited college or university (Bachelor's degree in a technical major, such as Computer Science or Engineering) preferredA+, Security+ certification preferredAbility to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) during course of employmentValid driver's licenseEXPERIENCE & JOB KNOWLEDGEA minimum of five years with Active Directory, Windows OS, Office, remote client access utilities, WAN, LAN, wireless communications, VPNProven experience with Desktop administration and SQL database systems and the ability to operate standard office equipmentTECHNICAL SKILLSAbility to fit well within an energetic and dedicated team and to effectively train end users on applicationsAbility to define issues, perform research, evaluate alternatives and develop successful conclusions and recommendationsEffective collaboration, partnership and problem-solving skills and a history of creating effective working relationshipsExcellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written utilizing correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuationAbility to work well within deadlines, set priorities, take initiative, exercise sound independent judgment, handle multiple projects and ever-changing prioritiesStrong analytical and organizational skills, with solid customer service orientationDetail-oriented team member and self-starter capable of independent work and creative teamworkProficiency with personal computers, including word processing and spreadsheet applications; Understanding of basic functions of video systems, microwave communications, radio communications, radar systems, and automatic identification systemsProficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applicationsAbility to understand, interpret, and apply all PCCA policies, promotes and adheres to the SEAPORT values, state/federal lawsMaintain good employee relations and encourages and fosters a helpful environment where teamwork prevails.
