Director of Finance

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on finance leader to oversee the accounting and financial operations of a growing professional services organization. This role combines strategic financial planning with day-to-day accounting management and will partner closely with company leadership to support business performance, growth initiatives, and financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and financial operations, including month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, financial models, and business performance analyses.
• Monitor profitability, cash flow, expenses, and key financial metrics.
• Manage accounts payable, disbursements, payroll, commissions, and employee reimbursements.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Oversee cash management and financial controls.
• Support retirement plan and employee benefit accounting activities.
• Coordinate with external accountants and advisors.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
• Prior Controller, Director of Finance, CFO, or similar leadership experience preferred.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing multiple entities or business units preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience supporting senior leadership and business decision-making
