Lead Teacher for Infant and Toddler room Compass Academy in Smyrna is currently looking for energetic, loving and reliable teachers for all ages. We remain an independent, family-owned and operated enterprise. Our goal is to be as eco-friendly as possible and to create a natural learning ambiance with organic practices and indoor and outdoor classrooms; our curriculum is an eclectic mix of the Montessori and the play method. Responsibilities Full-time Supervise and promote activities designed to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child. Implement appropriate lesson plans with a variety of materials in the various content areas. Maintain assessments of each child's development and prepare parent reports. Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the guidelines in the employee handbook. Provide outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi‑task and manage multiple situations effectively. Show sensitivity and maturity when relating to children and adults. Consistently meet a schedule of up to 40 hours/week or part‑time schedule. Qualifications 1-2 years Early Childhood Education Experience/Previous Childcare Experience strongly desired. Must possess an active Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or any major with relevant experience.
