Details Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting Care for patients immediately following surgical or procedural interventions requiring anesthesia Monitor patients during the initial recovery period and address potential complications 3rd shift schedule, Thursday-Saturday 7p-7a 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required BLS certification required ACLS certification required Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred Additional Information Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in accordance with RN scope of practice and hospital policies Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with case management Provide patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning Collaborate with inter-professional team members and delegate tasks appropriately Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient satisfaction, falls, and pressure ulcers First-time travelers and new grads are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-750647.
