Role Description This full-time, on-site Attorney role is based in Hartford and/or Westport, CT. The Attorney will manage a caseload involving complex civil litigation, including case assessment, legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, and preparing discovery requests and responses. Daily responsibilities include providing legal advice to clients, negotiating with opposing counsel, attending court conferences and hearings, and participating in trials and appellate matters as needed. The role involves close collaboration with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and maintain strong client communication. The Attorney will also contribute to litigation management efforts, focusing on efficient case resolution consistent with client objectives. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with experience in civil defense litigation and related practice areas. Demonstrated ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to individual and corporate clients. Excellent Research skills for case law analysis, statutory interpretation, and complex fact development. Effective Negotiation skills for settlement discussions, mediation, and case resolution. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Connecticut bar (or eligibility for admission); Prior experience in trial practice, including motion practice, depositions, and courtroom advocacy. Strong written and oral advocacy skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.
