Cross Department Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and sales teams to synchronize production activities and address any scheduling conflicts or resource constraints. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, adjust production plans as necessary, and implement strategies to optimize stock levels, minimizing both shortages and excess inventory. Schedule Optimization: Analyze production data and workflows to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing lead times, and enhancing overall schedule reliability. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and distribute detailed scheduling reports to stakeholders, and communicate any changes or potential delays effectively to ensure all parties are informed and aligned. Key Skills: Production Planning: A Master Scheduler II develops and maintains detailed production schedules to meet organizational goals and customer demand effectively. Data Analysis: This role involves analyzing production data and performance metrics to identify trends, forecast needs, and optimize scheduling processes. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in scheduling and ERP software, such as SAP or Oracle, is essential for managing and updating production schedules accurately. Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial for coordinating with different departments, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment and resolve scheduling conflicts. Problem Solving: A Master Scheduler II identifies and addresses scheduling issues promptly, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions in the production process. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail ensures that all aspects of the production schedule are accurate and that potential issues are anticipated and managed. Time Management: Strong time management skills enable the Master Scheduler II to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain an efficient production flow. Process Improvement: Continuously seeking and implementing improvements in scheduling processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity. Resource Allocation: Effectively allocating resources, including labor, materials, and machinery, to ensure optimal production levels and meet schedule demands. Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and evolving business needs to maintain effective scheduling and production continuity. Successful candidates typically have: 3 to 5 years of experience in production scheduling Experience in production, manufacturing, repair, and overhaul Experience in purchasing This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
