Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg/Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med-Surg Telemetry unit. This position will involve providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment that supports a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac, diabetes, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), renal issues, and general surgery needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitoring and administering medications, including insulin, heparin, and Lasik drips, effectively and safely.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNAs, and unit secretaries to optimize patient outcomes.
• Providing care to Immediate Care Unit (IMCU) patients based on census requirements.
• Floating to similar acuity levels or lower, as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Proficient with intravenous insulin, heparin, and Lasik drips.
• Truncated compliance and CPI training are mandatory.
• Experience in telemetry nursing is preferred but not required.

Work Schedule

This position offers a 3x12-hour night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends and holidays. We value work-life balance and strive to create a supportive working environment for our nursing staff.
