We're building a company culture that embraces the values of respect, accountability, communication, teamwork, integrity, positive attitude, continuous improvement and employee appreciation.What you will do:Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice.Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice.Completes all documentation.Teaches patients the skills and techniques required for participation in activities; and evaluates patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior as relates to their rehabilitative potential.Conducts training programs and participates in training medical and nursing personnel in occupational therapy techniques and objectives.Designs and fits adaptive devices such as splints and braces for patient use.Regularly demonstrates the ability to serve adult patients in the routine performance of duties.Displays positive guest relations in the performance of duties.Consults with other members of the rehabilitation team to select the most appropriate activity program consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.Requisitions supplies and equipment.Cleans and repairs tools and equipment as needed.Participates in department performance improvement activities as assigned and attends required training.Demonstrates service excellence and ACE.Performs other duties as assigned.What you will need:Bachelor's or Master's degree from a program jointly accredited by the ACOTE or a graduate of the ACOTE accredited career mobility program.Licensure in the state of Ohio or license eligible. Registration nationally through the professional association.Previous clinical experience/rehabilitation experience preferred.CPR Certification.Demonstrated ability to keep abreast of new research and practices in the field so as to provide the patients the best possible care and treatment.Ability to move, transfer and assist average size patient and be mobile.Ability to understand and effectively communicate in both written and oral form.Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required.Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free work place, including ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency codes.Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment.
