Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join their esteemed team under a travel assignment in Boston, MA. This role focuses on providing critical support in a clinical environment, assisting in patient preparation and preliminary eye function testing.

- Take complete patient histories with a focus on eye symptoms
- Review allergies and medications
- Perform visual acuity tests and measure intraocular pressure using tonopens and applanation
- Administer eye drops in preparation for eye exams
- Conduct visual fields, A/B ultrasonic scans, autorefraction, OCT, fundus photography, lensometry, and topography
- Perform refractions
- Monitor provider schedules and patient flow
- Coordinate patient records and information
- Maintain and stock exam rooms and equipment
- Train on the job for new tasks and skills
- Participate in employer-sponsored training and continuing education
- GED or high school diploma
- Certification as COA, COT, or COMT by JCAHPO
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- BLS Certification
- Vocational or technical training in an accredited program preferred
