About the Position

Job Summary

A Travel Registered Nurse (T-RN) is a licensed Registered Nurse who works on temporary assignments across various healthcare facilities to address staffing shortages. T-RNs deliver high-quality patient care, adapt quickly to new environments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospitals, clinics, and specialty units.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and progress
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
• Operate and monitor medical equipment safely
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and facility protocols
• Respond effectively to emergency situations
• Adapt quickly to new clinical settings, teams, and workflows

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid RN license (state-approved; compact license preferred for travel roles)
• Current BLS certification from organizations like the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred or required for certain specialties
• New graduates may be considered for select assignments; most roles prefer 1–2 years of clinical experience
• Strong clinical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Flexibility to travel and work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse healthcare environments
