Mechanical Estimator

Snapshot / Role Overview:
We're seeking a Mechanical Estimator in Sacramento, CA to develop accurate and competitive bids that drive project wins and company growth.

- Secure new commercial mechanical projects through accurate, competitive estimates
- Strengthen client relationships by delivering timely and professional bid proposals
- Contribute to company profitability through precise cost analysis and value engineering
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities in the Greater Sacramento market

Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects
- Perform quantity take-offs from plans and specifications using Bluebeam and estimating software
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Analyze project specifications to identify scope requirements and potential risks
- Develop bid proposals and present estimates to leadership for review
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather project information
- Coordinate with project managers during project handoff to ensure estimate accuracy
- Maintain organized bid files and historical cost data for future reference
- Track bid results and adjust estimating strategies based on market conditions
