Pharmacy Technician in Douglasville, GA

An opportunity is available for an experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations at a medical facility in the Douglasville, GA area. This direct hire role requires strong expertise in sterile compounding practices, with a focus on maintaining the highest quality and safety standards under pharmacist supervision.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile compounding of medications following USP 797 guidelines and under licensed pharmacist supervision
• Maintain quality assurance in all aspects of pharmacy operations per regulatory and departmental standards
• Complete sterile compounding practical certification every 6 months to ensure compliance with USP 797
• Clean and maintain sterile compounding rooms and primary engineering controls daily, adhering strictly to USP 797 standards
• Train new pharmacy technician staff as needed
• Participate actively in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care
• Execute other pharmacy technician duties related to sterile compounding as assigned

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license
• National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile compounding techniques and regulations
• Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy systems is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a team and support clinical quality initiatives

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Saturdays on an as-needed basis
