  • End Date/Duration: Full-time ongoing assignment
  • Shift: 8am-12pm, 1pm-5pm (Clinic and Call shifts)
  • Hours/Week: 40 hours/week expected, 10 hours/day for OT preapproval
  • Employment Type: Locum, Full-Time
  • Licensing/Certifications: Active Medical License, DEA, BLS, BC or BE within 3-5 years of residency
  • Experience: 2+ years inpatient case logs, oncology experience preferred

What You'll Do

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology care
  • Manage chemotherapy treatments and related protocols in an attached chemo treatment center
  • Attend to patient consultations, follow-ups, and medical rounds
  • Respond to call requests via phone for evenings and weekends, with no onsite after-hours call back
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and timely
  • Participate in quality assurance and clinical improvement initiatives

What You Need

Required:
  • Active California Medical License and DEA
  • Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology or Internal Medicine with subspecialty training
  • Minimum 2 years inpatient case log experience in relevant field
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to respond promptly to clinical calls
Preferred:
  • Oncology experience connected to a hospital or clinic setting
  • Proven ability to work independently, while maintaining a collaborative approach
  • Strong communication skills and high attention to detail
