Job Summary:

Join our team as a Medical Lab Scientist! This position accurately analyzes and reports all tests ordered by the Medical Staff in a timely manner and according to laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Job Requirements:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

Required Education and Experience:

• Associate Degree Required
• Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA.

Certification Preferred:

• Medical Laboratory Scientist-ASCP Required MLS with ASCP certification, or MT/MLT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification, or specialty ASCP certification in the assigned department required within 6 months of hire.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training:

• 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory

At St. Anthony Hospital, our Laboratory department is a blood bank that performs testing for our Level 1 Trauma center, as well as sister hospitals in the region. With innovative technology and instruments, our team does a vast array of inhouse testing and specialized coagulation testing. Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center where we provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region through our state-of-the-art medical campus and home base for Flight For Life Colorado. With four trauma rooms including the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, our staff can provide life-saving care to the most severely ill and injured patients.
