Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a CVOR Tech or in a similar surgical technologist role
• Proficiency in assisting with cardiovascular and open heart surgeries
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST, TS-C, or equivalent)
• Advanced knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and OR protocols
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality improvement standards

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms for procedures, securing appropriate instruments and sterile supplies
• Assist surgeons and nurses during cardiovascular operations by anticipating needs and providing relevant equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile field and infection prevention practices
• Monitor supplies, restock instruments, and ensure all equipment is functioning properly before cases
• Participate in the safe transfer and positioning of patients as directed
• Accurately document usage and assist with specimen handling per protocols
• Actively contribute to pre-op and post-op room turnover procedures
