Occupational Medicine Physician

Job Summary and Responsibilities Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi‑specialty group with more than 500 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a physician to our busy Occupational Medicine Department at our Midtown Clinic in Sacramento, CA. The role involves treating work‑related injuries such as lacerations, multiple body strains, fractures, acute eye injuries and foreign bodies, among other conditions. Additional responsibilities include performing pre‑employment physical examinations, DOT and Hazmat physical examinations, physician‑certified MRO services for employment drug testing, onsite audiometry and pulmonary function testing, mask‑fit testing, fit‑for‑duty examinations, and employer‑requested recommendations on ergonomics, chemical exposures, and related safety topics. The physician will provide evidence‑based medical treatment in a timely and effective manner, aiming for prompt return to work and closure of cases while remaining cost‑effective.
