Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist Location: New Lenox, Illinois Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Overview: The New Lenox School District is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech‑Language Pathologist to join our team. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders. This role is pivotal in helping students enhance their communication skills and achieve academic success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results. Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication development. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and treatment plans. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' goals and objectives. Provide training and support to teachers and staff on speech and language development strategies. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid Illinois state license in Speech‑Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA). Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech‑Language Pathologist endorsement (Teaching Endorsement: 154). Previous experience in a school setting preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Requirements: Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting. Compliance with state and federal regulations for special education.
