Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a passionate faculty member to join our thriving Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program in the city of Evansville, Indiana.
Imagine yourself in a full-time, 10-month position with the possibility of tenure-track, provided you hold an earned terminal degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, HSD, etc.). Our faculty and environment are vibrant because we are passionate about creating the future generation of physical therapy leaders. The requirements for this exciting role include one of two options: 1) a terminal academic degree in neurobiology, physiology, or research methods; or 2) a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or a DPT combined with an earned post-professional academic doctorate with current expertise in geriatrics, pharmacology, acute care, or cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. If you have a DPT degree, ensure you are eligible for physical therapy licensure in Indiana and bring at least three years of clinical experience.
Beyond the classroom, this role extends into student advising, focused scholarship, and service within the department, university, and the broader profession. Your journey with us would begin on August 1, 2026.

Responsibilities Include
- Teaching in assigned DPT content areas
- Student advising and mentoring
- Continuing scholarship with student involvement
- Service to the University, community, and profession
- Participation in curriculum development and accreditation activities
- PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a related discipline or DPT with an earned post-professional academic doctorate or DPT with a contemporary expertise
- Demonstrated expertise relevant to DPT education
- Physical therapy licensure or eligibility in Indiana
- Board certification or advanced clinical training
- Record of scholarly productivity
- Higher education teaching experience
- Start Date: August 1, 2026
- Location: Evansville, Indiana
