Sales Engineer (Mechanical / Structural Engineering)Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (1 hr lunch)Working style: Direct hire, Full-timeLocation: Durham, NCSummary: We are expanding strategically into North America with the launch of a new office in Durham, NC. As a founding member of this location, the Sales Engineer will play a critical role in both technical engineering support and business development. The ideal candidate will help grow the company by identifying potential customers and acting as a coordinator to facilitate work transfers from clients. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, client engagement, and leadership, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and collaboration.Essential Duties:Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients by understanding their technical needs and making effective proposals.Support business development activities such as trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.Serve as a liaison between clients and internal engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.Contribute to the establishment and growth of new offices as a founding member.Inspect and advise on deliverables.Writing documents such as emails and reports.Accompanying on business trips within the US.Assisting in client development.Compensation/Benefits:5 days of sick leave (1st year of employment will be 3 days of sick leave)VacationHealth, Dental, Vision Ins.Retirement planRelocation cost assistance: up to $3,000Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.10+ years of experience in mechanical / structural engineering roles is preferred.At least 3 years of experience in project management or project leadership.Ability to use MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.Willingness to travel within the U.S. as needed.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working for a Japanese company.Japanese (Beginner)Proficiency in 3D CAD.
