Concrete Finisher

Job Description
• Mold expansion joints and edges
• Set forms that hold concrete in place
• Apply sealants or waterproofing to protect concrete
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using a trowel, float, or screed
• Grind and polish surfaces for a smooth, lustrous look
• Signal truck drivers and move chute to help pour concrete into forms
• Monitor curing (hardening) to make sure the cement's finish is durable, smooth, and uniform
• Install reinforcing rebar or mesh wire to strengthen the

Job Requirements
• Understanding of concrete mixtures, curing processes, and the effects of weather
• Experienced with hand/power trowels, vibrating machines, and measuring tools
• Work outdoors on construction in extreme hot or cold weather


Additional Information

The work is performed at floor level, requiring workers to frequently bend and kneel.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Pay Range: $16.90-$85.00
