About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in infusion and oncology License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC required; ACLS and OCN preferred Must-Have: - Previous infusion center and outpatient oncology experience required - Previous charge RN experience preferred - EPIC charting system experience required Description: This position requires a registered nurse with expertise in infusion therapy. Candidates should have experience with solid tumor cancers, lymphomas, chronic leukemia, and neuro-oncology. Special procedures include bone marrow aspirations and intravesicular chemotherapy for bladder cancer. Nurses will manage patient care within an infusion center setting. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. An EKG exam is required for all registered nurses regardless of specialty. The position involves administering chemotherapy, blood products, and managing patient care in a high-paced environment. Candidates should have proficiency in various infusion-related skills, such as port management and central line care. Strong communication with interdisciplinary teams and providing patient education are essential. Attention to detail and ability to recognize and manage adverse reactions is critical. The work involves a high daily patient census with a focus on quality care and patient safety.
