This 175-bed acute care and general medical/surgical hospital maintains established clinical protocols and the resources necessary to support inpatient and outpatient pulmonary critical care coverage. The facility is structured to accommodate locum tenens clinicians and provides on-site support staff including registered nurses, a medical assistant, and office staff to facilitate coordinated patient care delivery. Clinical operations are configured to ensure continuity of pulmonary and critical care services throughout each assigned coverage period.

Virginia offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and recreational activities suited to varied interests. Hiking destinations such as Humpback Rocks, Crabtree Falls, and Natural Bridge provide opportunities for exploration, while water recreation options including kayaking are available throughout the region. Entertainment venues, live music, family-oriented attractions, and an agritourism scene featuring farm markets and wine experiences complement the natural landscape, offering a well-rounded experience during time away from clinical responsibilities.

Clinicians will provide pulmonary critical care coverage across inpatient and outpatient settings on a day shift basis, with responsibilities limited to scheduled clinical hours. The clinical workload consists of 15-20 patients per shift, encompassing the evaluation and management of pulmonary and critical care cases for an adult patient population. No call coverage is required as part of this assignment. All coverage is conducted on-site in accordance with the facility's established clinical protocols.
