Bar Manager

Fairway Lounge in Fitchburg, WI is seeking an energetic Bar Manager to lead our bar team and elevate the guest experience at our indoor golf simulator/bar/event facility. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Your leadership will drive the success of our bar, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, managing inventory, and fostering a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the bar team, including training staff on serving techniques, and Toast POS system. Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficient shift management and quick service delivery in a fast-paced environment. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to maximize profitability. Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to maintain high-quality service. Handle cash management duties, including cash handling, reconciliation, and ensuring accuracy in transactions. Develop staff through ongoing training & development initiatives, fostering a positive team culture focused on hospitality excellence. Maintain a lively atmosphere by managing customer interactions and resolving issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction. Support the hiring process by interviewing candidates and selecting qualified team members aligned with our service standards. Experience Proven management experience in food/drink service management or restaurant management roles. Demonstrated supervising experience with teams. Familiarity with POS systems. Strong knowledge of inventory control practices, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis within the food/drink industry. Experience in managing small teams with a focus on customer service excellence and team leadership skills. Ability to handle cash accurately while maintaining high standards of hospitality and safety regulations. Hours 2pm-11pm primary with rotating weekends.
