Old World Pizzeria is looking for a reliable, hands‑on Pizza Cook to join our kitchen. We take pride in craveable, made‑to‑order pizza and a from‑scratch approach, and we want someone who cares about doing it right every shift. Pizza Cook — Old World Pizzeria (Birmingham, MI) What you’ll do Stretch, top, and bake pizzas to order while holding our quality and portion standards Prep and manage the pizza station — doughs, sauces, cheeses, and toppings — keeping everything fresh, stocked, and rotated Work the oven with consistency and speed, especially during peak service Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards, and keep your station organized Communicate with the line and expo to keep tickets moving and orders accurate Pitch in on opening, closing, and prep duties as needed What we’re looking for At least 1 year of experience in a pizza kitchen or similar high‑volume kitchen role Comfort working a hot line and staying calm under pressure Solid knowledge of dough handling and pizza‑making fundamentals Strong attention to detail and consistency A team‑first attitude, dependability, and a good sense of timing Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Food Handler / ServSafe certification a plus (or willingness to obtain) What we offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience, plus tips A supportive, fast‑paced team environment Room to grow with a neighborhood pizzeria that values craft If you love making great pizza and take pride in your work, we’ll love to hear from you.
