About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Tele Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required; will accept a first-time traveler with strong CPU and PCU experience License: Must have an active state RN license Certifications: BLS, CPI, NIH required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Strong CPU and PCU experience, ability to handle higher acuity Description: The role involves caring for cardiac telemetry patients, including those with complex diagnoses. Candidates must manage a variety of cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and arrhythmias. Experience in high-acuity environments is necessary. Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support, including IV teams and respiratory services, is expected. Navy blue scrubs are required. Weekend and holiday work is required as per the schedule. Candidates must float within their specialty as needed. Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and management of cardiac drips is essential. Monitoring patients remotely using advanced telemetry systems will be part of the responsibilities. Additional skills such as starting and maintaining IVs and interpreting dysrhythmias are required. The average daily census is approximately 30 patients with a patient age range focusing on adults and geriatrics. This position demands strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
