Speech Language Pathologist - Skilled Nursing

A 4-star rated skilled nursing facility in Waverly, New York is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join its multidisciplinary therapy team. This person will evaluate residents and provide therapy addressing speech, language, voice, and swallowing impairments, working closely with physicians, caregivers, and rehab staff to deliver resident-centered care.

Schedule: Full-time, direct hire.

Compensation: $91,520 - $114,400 Per Year, based on experience, plus a sign-on bonus.

What You'll Do: In this role, you will evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans, providing therapy to address speech, language, voice, and swallowing impairments. You will collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and rehab staff to deliver quality care, document evaluations, progress, and discharge plans in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning and family communication. You will also conduct and coordinate audiometric screenings and make appropriate referrals, help train facility staff, and contribute to in-service education efforts, all while following safety and compliance policies.

Required Qualifications:

• M.A. or M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current New York State license (or eligibility) to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
