Materials Handler - 1st shift

Description As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing and distribution operations by safely transporting, storing, tracking, and staging materials and finished products throughout the facility. This position helps ensure production teams have the materials they need at the right time while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting efficient warehouse and shipping operations. Success in this role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Transport products and materials throughout the facility manually and by using forklifts, overhead lifts/cranes, and push carts. Maintain accurate records of all parts and materials moving to and from storage locations. Count, weigh, and record quantities of materials and products handled. Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities to maintain inventory accuracy. Load customer orders onto trailers according to specifications and shipping requirements while completing required documentation. Unload, move, stack, stage, and organize products and materials by hand and with powered equipment. Maintain inventory and material movement records in accordance with established procedures. Follow all safety, quality, and operational standards while supporting continuous improvement efforts. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. For This Role, You Will Need: High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to safely lift, move, and carry materials weighing up to 70 pounds. Ability to perform physical activities including reaching, stretching, bending, twisting, and carrying objects throughout the workday. Ability to pass a forklift certification written exam and driving demonstration. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate records. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Ability to perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Associate degree in any field. Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, shipping, receiving, or material handling operations. Prior forklift certification or experience operating powered industrial vehicles. Experience with inventory management, cycle counting, or warehouse management systems. Experience working with shipping documentation and material tracking processes.
