Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Duties
Help
Ensures all manufacturing SOPs (collection to release) are established, accurate, and comply with FDA/accrediting standards.
Reviews, approves, and implements SOPs, ensuring statutory compliance.
Analyzes proficiency testing for trends, identifies problems, and implements improvements.
Conducts internal/external audits of Transfusion Medicine Service systems as required by FDA (QA, donor suitability, collection, manufacturing, testing, storage, release, computer systems) to identify and resolve problems.
Establishes lot-release controls, verifies FDA compliance for testing/processing, ensures record review for accuracy, and evaluates QC results against performance levels.
Ensures continuous competency evaluation per FDA requirements for all personnel.
