Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Join WCS Healthcare Partners in providing comprehensive care in the field of addiction medicine. We are seeking an experienced NP/PA to deliver exceptional patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This is an opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and make a significant impact on patient recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct rounds on inpatient floors with a team of 7 other healthcare professionals.
• Work Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
• Assess and manage patients presenting with withdrawal symptoms.
• Coordinate patient progress and treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team, including counselors, nursing staff, and psychiatry professionals.
• Evaluate patients for medication-assisted treatments and collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
• Acquire and apply knowledge of the most up-to-date evidence-based practices in the field of addiction medicine.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in addiction medicine as a provider.
• Ability to obtain a Suboxone waiver; experience in detox/rehab is a plus.
• No new graduates; candidates must be experienced professionals.
• Certification as an NP/PA and licensure in New York (NY).
• If a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), must also be an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and be comfortable with the medicine side.
