Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This position involves working in the Respiratory Therapy unit, delivering high-quality patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal respiratory health for patients of all ages.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and assess respiratory function.
• Assist with intubation and provide emergency respiratory support.
• Administer nebulizer treatments and monitor patients' respiratory status.
• Utilize advanced respiratory equipment such as Servo I ventilators.
• Implement therapies including Metaneb, Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB), and Chest Physiotherapy (CPT).

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience in critical care settings.
• Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Ability to draw arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Servo I ventilators.
• Experience with I-Stat devices.

Patient Experience Requirements

• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
• Experience with a diverse patient population, including all age ranges.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Black scrubs (purchase required).
• Nail Policy: Must maintain clean and healthy nails; no artificial nails or gel.
• Hair: Should be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors. Must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer.
• Facial Hair: Mustaches, beards, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed.
• Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible. Visible tattoos that cannot be covered will be addressed individually.
• Piercings: Only ear piercings allowed; no visible piercings such as nose rings or tongue rings.
