Job Description

Full-Time Benefit Eligible

Schedule: Rotating Shift, 36 or 40 Hours Per Week Monday through Friday. Call rotated on weekends among cardiac staff members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Deliver compassionate, quality patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team
• Delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching activities
• Identify and implement solutions for variances from patient goals

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Unit Description:

This position will support the Cardiac service line. We are operational 24 hours per day, working either 8-hour, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts. On call time is required.
