Job Title: ReStore Donations Lead
Department: HFHGE ReStore
Employment Classification: Non-Exempt Parttime
Reports to: Restore Director
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00

Job Role & Responsibilities: The HFHGE ReStore Donations Lead will deliver quality customer service and leadership of the team, when needed, while maintaining a secondhand/vintage marketplace that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products’ needs. They will also help the ReStore Director in leading the team to ensure all policies and procedures are followed. A Donations Lead’s Job is to (1) Create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere that delivers an exceptional service, (2) Help lead the team, by following the companies’ direction during standard operating procedures in absence of ReStore Director, (3) Assist the customer by delivering a seamless, professional merchandise shopping or donation drop off experience and ensuring the same from his clerks, volunteers, and fellow leads (4) Ensure merchandise donated is accurately accounted, assessed, and meets the needs of the ReStore Resale Strategy and Warehouse Management Standards and efficiency are met daily, (5) Help ReStore Director procure new Providers and Donation Partners through on-site visitations or electronically (Email/Phone Calls) as well as continue strengthening current partnerships (6) Ensure merchandise to be delivered is secured, staged, and assessed for delivery (7) Ensure pricing and evaluation of merchandise follows HFHGE pricing guidelines and (8) Engage in safe work practices and encourages others to do the same, (9) Helps Volunteer Coordinator in coordinating and conducting orientation sessions as needed of new volunteers, and (10) Thank every customer and invite them to the ReStore and continued donations.

Key Job Functions:

• Ensure daily following of all policies and procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
• Overseeing daily operations as outlined by the manager.
• Prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely completion by team members.
• Maintaining inventory accuracy and correct placement on the sales floor.
• Assist in procuring new Business Partners to ensure a steady flow of donated products.
• Assist in continue strengthening of current Business Partner relationships.
• Assisting in creating and implementing processes to boost productivity.
• Promoting quality across the team while meeting daily goals.
• Opening and closing the store, as needed.

• Providing customer service and cashiering support, as needed.
• Assign team members to activities, ensuring staff coverage meets customer demands, and redeploying when necessary to support needs throughout the store’s needs as directed by ReStore Director.
• Connect with the team daily to understand challenges they are facing, elevating issues when necessary; partners with his/her leader when formal disciplinary action is needed.
• Provides open and timely feedback and performance coaching to members of the team, redirecting any problematic or ineffective behaviors when necessary.
• Be able to make leadership level decisions while out on the sales floor and elevating them to ReStore director as needed.
• Identifies any associate/volunteer concerns and takes the appropriate action as needed, including elevating the ReStore Director.
• Connects with ReStore Director daily to inform of any challenges they are facing.
• Instills in the team the importance of being engaged and approachable with customers and donors.
• Instills in the team the importance of knowing and understanding the Donatable Items Chart.
• Provides recognition for accomplishing goals and demonstrating effective behaviors.
• On-site customer service with donors and potential donors. 
• Maintains a focus on safety and security by ensuring doors, gates, and vehicles are secured and monitored, any signs of tampering are reported, and that steps are taken daily to ensure daily safety of associate, volunteers, equipment, and building,
• Works closely with Delivery Lead on incoming donations and communicates effectively with Lead regarding staging of items. 
• Provides directions to volunteers on staging and processing procedures. 
• On-site pickup of in-kind donations. 
• Maintains the upkeep and cleanliness of the ReStore vehicles.
• Unloads truck upon return to the ReStore. 
• Assist Lead Driver in organization and filing of donation and fuel receipts when needed.
• Learn and use the HFHGE on board Route System Management
• Assist the Lead Driver in all day-to-day drivers’ paperwork; including contacting and scheduling or rescheduling donors, log an HFH estimated value of donated items on board and provide accurate numbers in each specific category on how many donations were picked up, when needed.
• Thanks, the customer and invite them back to the ReStore to shop and/or Donate items.
• Builds and maintains knowledge of the companies’ products, donatable items and services.
• Answers incoming phone calls as needed.
• Ensure the staging area is fully organized and secure to prevent safety issues.
• Comply with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness organization of store, vehicle and working areas.
• Operates store equipment as needed on specific roles and responsibilities, Radios, Mobile POS, telephone, vehicles and POS system.
• Professional level of behavior for the workplace should be instilled in everyday responsibilities.
• In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held responsible for other duties assigned.

Key Essential Functions:

• Ability to support the Habitat for Humanity Mission. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. 
• Ability to lift 50 + plus lbs. without assistance , with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand for a prolonged periods of time , with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Good, Professional communication skills
• Ability to learn new skills to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to interact with consumers, staff, and volunteers in a positive and professional manner
• Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule based on ReStore operational needs, including Saturdays, opening/closing shifts, and occasional schedule changes, as required.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle to perform donation pickups, deliveries, and other ReStore business, as required by the position. Must maintain a valid driver's license and meet HFHGE's applicable vehicle-insurance eligibility requirements.
