Cook Position At St. Andrews Village

St. Andrews Village Retirement Community - Boothbay Harbor, Maine is searching for a cook! The cook role is vital in maintaining the health and well-being of patients, families, and employees at the hospital. Responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals according to established recipes, understanding food hygiene practices and safety regulations, and working effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Summary: This position consists of 36 hours per week, evening shifts.

The cook role is responsible for preparation of foods for patients, guests, residents, and employees. Assures the facility's cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Food safety certification required (e.g., ServSafe) and must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Experience: One year of relevant food production experience required. One year of specialized culinary training or institutional/retail cooking experience preferred.
