Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, including one previous travel assignment. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Deliver care to patients in the Emergency Department, handling an average of 150 visits per day. Perform IV starts and phlebotomy procedures as needed. Participate in rotation for weekend and holiday call, as necessary. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans. Provide mentorship and support to junior staff and trainees. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment. Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS. Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, TNCC. Experience with Cerner, charge nursing, triage, and precepting is preferred. Working Conditions This position requires the ability to work night shifts, specifically 4x12-hour schedules. Clinicians will receive training on the unit before taking on charge responsibilities. Scrubs are not provided; you must wear navy blue scrubs. Additionally, staff may come into contact with COVID-19 patients. Vaccination Requirement All employees are required to have the flu vaccine.
