Our team members are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of residents every day.**As an Activities Director, you provide overall leadership for a vibrant, resident-centered activities and volunteer program that promotes connection, wellness, and purpose across the community.What You’ll Do:• Lead and oversee daily activities, events, outings, and wellness programs• Develop engaging calendars and newsletters aligned with resident interests• Recruit, inspire, and manage activities team members and volunteers• Build partnerships with local organizations and community groups• Oversee drivers and coordinate community outings• Manage the department budget and monitor expenses• Review resident surveys and lead Resident Council meetings• Ensure compliance with federal, state/province, and Sunrise quality standards• Collaborate with Sales, Dining, and leadership on community events• Hire, coach, schedule, and develop team membersYou create meaningful experiences while building a strong, energized team that enhances resident life every day.What We’re Looking For:• Degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, or related field OR Certified Activity Professional• 2+ years experience in senior living or community recreation• 2+ years leadership or supervisory experience• Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills• Ability to manage budgets and multiple priorities• Proficiency in Microsoft Office• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and eventsActivities Director – Create Meaningful Moments for Seniors Every DayActivities Director | Life Enrichment | Senior Living Activities # **Pay Range:**26.75 - 33.50*Ready to take the next step and make a bigger impact than you ever imagined?* As part of our team, you will help brighten the future for everyone at Sunrise and beyond.
