Transportation Mechanic

Maintenance Tech
Perform daily activities of vehicle repair and maintenance to ensure proper performance and safety of all District vehicles.
Education/Certifications:
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics and maintenance
- High School graduate/GED
- Acceptable driving record
- Clear and valid Texas license or Valid CDL
- Ability to obtain Texas Commercials driver's license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements within 3 months
- TEA Certified within 3 months
- Ability to pass alcohol and drug screen tests
- Ability to pass yearly DOT physical
- Satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting and background check
- Preferred 2 + years experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment both diesel and gasoline-type engines and hydraulic equipment
