Radiation Therapist - Full Time

Radiation TherapistAdministers accurate ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. May or may not be called upon to perform the duties of CT/Simulation Technologist.Job DescriptionEssential Functions:Correctly identifies the patient using two identifiers. In house patients' wristbands are used as an identifier. Other identifiers are name, DOB, driver's license, and a patient photo.Delivers approved and accurate radiation treatment prescribed by the radiation oncologist.Checks for signed treatment consent by the patient or patient's representative and the attending physician.Performs morning warm up (calibration) on treatment machines.Verifies radiation treatment machine to be in working order (within machine tolerance levels).
