Security Engineer

We are seeking a Cryptography Security Engineer to support enterprise security initiatives focused on cryptographic modernization, PKI, encryption, key management, and post-quantum cryptography readiness.

This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating enterprise cryptographic solutions while helping improve cryptographic visibility, risk management, and overall security posture. The position requires close collaboration with architecture, engineering, and operations teams to deploy and support security technologies, develop automation and integrations, and drive modernization efforts across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with enterprise cryptography, PKI, encryption, certificates, HSMs, and key management.

• Experience supporting cryptographic inventory, crypto-agility, or post-quantum cryptography initiatives.

• Knowledge of NIST, FIPS, PCI, and other security standards.

• Experience with automation, scripting, APIs, and system integrations.

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and enterprise security architecture.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
