Pay is $40/hour plus $175/day per diem, paid seven days a week, on a 3-month contract with potential for extension.

What you'll be doing

Operate and set up CNC Swiss machines within tolerance, following work instructions, machine programs, and engineering drawings
Machine a variety of parts and metals where very close tolerances must be held
Change dull tooling and make minor offset adjustments for tool wear
Inspect your own work with a range of measuring equipment and interpret the readings
Run multiple machines and meet productivity targets
Perform routine machine maintenance from the daily checklist and hand finishing
Complete job routers and records in line with good manufacturing and documentation practices
Identify problems and escalate them to the team leader or supervisor

What we're looking forRequired

3+ years of CNC machining experience, including CNC Swiss
High school diploma or GED
Ability to operate, set up, and maintain a CNC Swiss machine, and to run multiple machines
Ability to follow work instructions and read technical drawings
Solid math and measuring skills
A proven record of quality, on-time production runs and a commitment to safety
Able to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds

Preferred

Associate degree or certificate in Tooling & Machining, or a machinist apprenticeship
Experience working in a production environment

Pay, benefits and schedule

Pay: $40/hour
Per diem: $175/day, 7 days a week
Contract length: 3 months, with potential extension
Schedule: 2nd shift, 4 PM start, Monday–Friday
